“By far the biggest Blood Bowl Sevens' story is that Bluebeard's Bombardiers have managed to make two more signings for their squad, with Bazzel Merrygut being paid 85,000 copper pieces and Undig Stronghood receiving 70,000 copper bits for his time. Both second edition Dwarves will join team captain Reuben Redboots on the pitch, and are a clear example of the money gold miner-turned-club owner Bruldrin Bluebeard the Third is willing to pay so as to field a competitive side."

"Most Dwarf teams believe that have a lasting right to alter the laws as they choose."
"I understand that the duo's steel toe-caps and other metal adornments, such as Stronghood's spiked shoulder-pads, were 'picked out' using a combination of "Vallejo" Gunmetal and "Citadel" Nuln Oil, Thom..? That should really put a glint in the eyes of their opponents on a sunny day."

"Games Workshop" WIPs - Three more Dwarf players have been primed and had their details 'boxed in'
"Thanks, Thom. Now just before we leave you I understand that the club have also announced their intention to add even more Dwarf Blocker Linemen to their ranks in the near future. So expect an exciting update when we see you next on Friday Night Football..."

Great work on the two Dwarves Simon, and the other three are progressing well, been a while since you posted some Blood Bowl stuff.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much, Dave. Indeed, I haven't touched a BB player for eleven months, and have had some of these guys sat in my painting queue for just over four years now. LOL!! Still, I'm suddenly very much in the BB mood, so I hope to get at least one or two more finished before the month is over.
DeleteLots of new rules in the latest edition. Your playstyle will need to be different!
DeleteAs much as I love the new plastic BB teams, Phil, I'll be sticking with the previous rules. I've all the books and Spike issues, and don't intend to start buying them once again. I have heard the new version is good. But I've stopped investing in GW's three-year cycle, and don't plan on buying any new rule-books from them.
DeleteAgree, really great work sir!
ReplyDeleteCheers Michal. Much appreciated, and hopefully more to come.
DeleteLove em! Those classic dwarf player sculpts were my favs - far more than the silly 3rd ed versions which were just the then fantasy dwarves without weapons.
ReplyDeleteI have a 2nd ed Dark Elf team still painted up from when I was a teen. Wish I had time and a pal to play against so they weren't just sat in storage.
Thanks Dai. The Second Edition dwarves are my favourite BB sculpts. So don't be surprised if I don't seek out enough second-hand figures for a third dwarf team once this squad is finished. LOL!!
DeleteThise look the business mate, fortunately my son seems to have fallen out of love with the physical version of Bloodbowl at the moment, though I think he's still playing the online version, at least I haven't got to paint him another teamđŸ˜‰cheers Roger
ReplyDeleteCheers Roger. I think your BB teams are excellent, and my hat is off to you for somehow managing to paint them in a big batch. One of the reasons I like BB Sevens is because the team only needs 7-8 players aside, and so I can paint them up piecemeal as I track a figure down on the second-hand market. LOL!!
