| "If he's a phantom shadow, how come he leaves footprints?" |
Used as a disguise the "two no-good greedy lawyers named Cosgood Creeps and Cuthbert Crawls", I actually attempted to pigment my spectre using the colours seen in the cartoon series rather than the 'official' paint-job, so ended up applying a double dose of "Vallejo" Turquoise to the entire model. It was then dowsed in "Citadel" Nuln Oil before being dry-brushed with more "Vallejo" Turquoise so as to highlight all the folds in its sheets.

I'm actually now tempted to purchase a second one of these sculpts as there were actually two of the ghouls running around Colonel Beauregard Sanders' mansion, so I've added one to my Wish List for the next time I see "Crooked Dice Game Design Studio" at a wargaming show. However, I am a bit loathe to buy a second identical pose. I did consider getting the figure as an STL (Standard Triangle Language) file from the company's collection on "My Mini Factory" and mirroring it - so it'd appear a little different. But sadly the Sheet Ghost doesn't seem to have been uploaded to the 3D printable object-sharing platform yet.

| "Crooked Dice Game Design Studio" WIPs - Various models at various stages of completion |
Finally, I've been busy trying to sate my current appetite for more models produced by "Crooked Dice Game Design Studio". This includes the remaining Beastmen I have yet to complete, as well as the rest of their "Scooby-Doo" inspired ghosts, ghouls and villains. Furthermore, with just a few days left until the end of Jez's "Forgotten Heroes" event over on his "Carrion Crow's Buffet" blog, I am going full-pelt on my kit-bashed Rick Sanchez figure...

Great work on the latest spectre Simon, and great progress on your other dice models as well. You may have the Vulcan embassy on the line if you make one a redshirt, far below their standing ! LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks Dave. I'm going to go with a blue shirt for now on my Vulcan, and then might use her as a young, Ensign Saavik or Valeris..? I plan to have my Forgotten Heroes entry posted on the last day of the month, and then settle down to some scenery.
DeleteLove the Ghost mini!
ReplyDeleteCheers Michal. More Scooby-Doo villains to come in July.
DeleteFabulous spectre simon, I couldn't recall the episode so Googled the title and can see exactly why you chose the palette - nailed it too.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much indeed, Michael. I thought the extra effort to find suitable paint colour was worth it too.
DeleteSpectre looks the part Simon. Kind of sad your Vulcan will be a red-shirt - that light blue is a good look.
ReplyDeleteCheers Dai. I was only thinking about making the Vulcan a red shirt. I've since stuck to my original plan to make her a science officer (with Phaser), and will carry on along those lines.
DeleteThat phantom looks ace mate, and your other figures look to be progressing nicely to, really looking forward to seeing the scooby doo diver finished he's one of those that stuck in my mind from the series.
ReplyDeleteCheers Roger
Thanks very much, Roger. Rick Sanchez is now finished - just in time for the end of Forgotten Heroes, and the Beastman is only a little way behind him. Hopefully the Ghost of Captain Cutler won't be too long after them.
