I really like this Eighth Edition too, albeit the house rules changed it a little bit, such as both players moving, shooting and charging straight after one another rather than one player doing all the phases before the next. The relic isn't revealed until after the armies are set-up so that does make it a tad interesting, but I do like your suggestion as it'd split the battlefield up into four areas very nicely. Part Two will perhaps show just how deadly the Bloodletters are once they get in close ;-)Blaxklerichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06986635840718583767noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1308328551615343287.post-44555108048108206762019-04-16T07:05:09.802-07:002019-04-16T07:05:09.802-07:00Cheers Wouter. I'm currently working on a second battle where both forces go up to 160+ pts, and that may well show up your concerns better. However, I do have some Chaos Space Marines in mind... So I doubt the lack of firepower will be an issue for too long ;-) Blaxklerichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06986635840718583767noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1308328551615343287.post-88694228907144256472019-04-16T05:12:52.508-07:002019-04-16T05:12:52.508-07:00Ontersting scenario, but I think keeping the locat...Ontersting scenario, but I think keeping the location of the real objective secret until the end may have been more interesting. <br />God bit of action and guns versus swords always seems a bit one-sided ! The only thing which concerns me is the lack of variety in combat roles as your army grows. I doubt they have much ranged support and a game might end up as target practice.Wouterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17271989973988511989noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1308328551615343287.post-52080814498713826732019-04-15T13:32:34.825-07:002019-04-15T13:32:34.825-07:00Thanks Undercoat. Obviously this game was very basic but I really liked it, and already plan to BatRep a second battle using a few more weapon types/rules for the space marines/bloodletters.Blaxklerichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06986635840718583767noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1308328551615343287.post-82801812554702840462019-04-15T11:47:45.129-07:002019-04-15T11:47:45.129-07:00Very nice read.
