| "I order you to lower your shields and surrender." |
The "sleek, heavily armoured behemoth" was primed with plenty of "Vallejo" Heavy Green and shaded with "Citadel" Biel-Tan Green. I then enthusiastically dry-brushed it with (more) "Vallejo" Heavy Green, before 'picking out' its rear warp nacelle and "devastating massive plasma cannon" with a combination of "Scale 75" White Alchemy and "Citadel" Flesh Tearers Red.

However, I will be incentivised by Graeme Dawson's recent announcement of some more (very welcome) additions to this science fiction range, including some FedSec Technicians and (male) Mutaints, as well as the imposing looking Alien Harvester - which bears an uncanny resemblance to the giant insects seen in the February 1980 television of "Blake's 7" entitled "The Harvest of Kairos". In addition, the company has also announced that a duo of space assassins and two rogue FedSec scientists are now up for pre-order too.

| "Crooked Dice Game Design Studio" WIPs - Three of the four Alien Legionnaries I'm currently working on |
To make matters worse, I'm also having to plod away at four more Alien Legionnaries by "Crooked Dice Game Design Studio" after failing to resist their recent release of a Submarine Security team and Lunar Command crew - all of which have already arrived at 'Fantorical Towers'. These have already joined the Nautican Warriors I have 'waiting in the wings', so I really need to add this predominantly red-coloured quarter to my Heartless Warmonger's ever-growing force as fast as I can...

Great looking spaceship Simon, does have a Star Trek vibe to it's design, Nice start to the two Alpha's, and your legionnaires, is that the last four of them, or is there more waiting in the wings.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dave. I love the Battlefront Valkyrie range for that very Star Trek vibe you mention, and was absolutely delighted when Fat Dragon Games reached out to me to print/paint the model. I have a rather large space cannon with some Alien Legionnaries manning it to paint at some point. But I believe these are the last of the basic minions I own - and I don't plan on getting any more. LOL!!
DeleteA very impressive Klingon ship
ReplyDeleteCheers Phil. There's a lot to like with the Battlefront Valkyrie range, imho.
DeleteGreat work on Battlecruiser ! 😲
ReplyDeleteThanks Michal. It is a big 'un!! I plan to post up some shots of it up against some of the other Kurgun vessels soon.
DeleteVery nice Simon. I need to investigate nozzle diameters a bit more. I am printing at 0.1 but you are definitely seem to be keeping the striation lines down to a minimum.
ReplyDeleteCheers Michael. I thoroughly recommend a 0.2mm hot end for these sort of 3D prints. It really helps show off all the sculpts' detail imho. I did do a comparison post between the different nozzles here if it helps: https://fantorical.blogspot.com/2025/08/today-is-good-day-to-die.html
