"I must see the Doctor die in shame and dishonour."
The miniature was initially primed using a couple of licks of "Citadel" Abaddon Black, before having its decrepit overcoat layered in "Vallejo" German Grey. This filthy garment was then washed with "Citadel" Nuln Oil and dry-brushed with (more) "Vallejo" German Grey.

"Crooked Dice Game Design Studio" WIPs - My Devil In Disguise is almost finished
The evil time traveller's flesh was originally just painted with "Vallejo" Heavy Skintone and shaded using a little "Citadel" Reikland Fleshshade. However, to make the fiend even more emaciated I dry-brushed the figure's face and hands with "Vallejo" Dead White, before applying a few drops of "Citadel" Biel-Tan Green and Carroburg Crimson to the areas too.

"Beast In The Broch" WIPs - Another Systemic Security figure is on the painting table
Lastly, I've got my sights set on completing the fourth and final Systemic Security miniature by "Beast In The Broch" I need to polish off from the manufacturer's Systemic Units set. This will then mean I just need to pigment a couple of Alpha Unit character figures before setting my sights on another order with their "Blake's 7" focused series of recent releases...

Excellent finish on the Husk Simon, the other master is progressing well, especially those bushy eyebrows, and good progress on the last Fedsec as well.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dave. Perhaps unsurprisingly the last of my Systemic Units is now finished, so should be posted up pretty soon. Hopefully, my Devil In Disguise won't be too far behind either.
DeleteCool figures, Simon!
ReplyDeleteCheers Ray. I'm definitely in something of a Crooked Dice mood currently.
DeleteYou are on a painting roll right now Simon! Great work on this trio.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dai. Pretty pleased with how things are currently panning out this month productivity wise - and having had a couple of games recently has definitely helped maintain my hobby motivation too.
DeleteYeah, it's been a bit too long since I last was able to get minis out on the table to play. That needs to change once we get our move done!
DeleteYes. I definitely find a game or two an incredible motivation - even if it does sometimes divert my attention to the range of minis I was playing with, rather than what I was planning to paint. LOL!!
DeleteGreat work on the new minis sir!
ReplyDeleteCheers Michal. Much appreciated.
DeleteSome more lovely work Simon. That Heinous Husk is a wonderfully scary sculpt.
ReplyDeleteThanks Michael. I was going to use it as an entry for this month's Zomtober Challenge. But it would have been the only one tbh.
DeleteWas that version of the Master only in two stories? Wow, it seemed like so many more in my memory! What a great mini and what a fantastic paint job. One of my favourites!
ReplyDeleteCheers Undercoat. To be fair, this is the version of the Master which truly terrified the kids back in the day, LOL!! And has been brought back to life in audio adventures too. He was a lot of fun to paint, and hopefully I can get the third (and final) Master completed before the month is over.
